Is eye-catching hyphenated? I hope so.
I’m back in Chicago for Christmas, which involves giant globs of snow that fall on you like icy bird crap instead of fluffy niceness. It’s just hot enough for that slush-snow that’s pleasant through a window until it freezes and the whole city slides around.
We went to National Treasure 2 the other night, and the highlight of the terrible film was an ad we saw for the movie “26 Dresses” as we were walking in.
They had a sneak preview of “dresses” up that night, and for the occasion someone had hired stunning models to stand around in a fake movie poster dress. (it’s hard to describe, see image below)

I’ve seen the trailer and the poster for this flick, but nothing caught my eye quite like a half dresses, blonde model standing on a pedestal. I congratulate you, movie advertisers. You’ve finally done it: the ad no longer suggests that you will get laid if you buy the product, but that the ad itself will do the honors.
The girls actually seemed very nice, and while they weren’t allowed to talk they would nod for you to take pictures, and wink it up quite a bit.

I demand more winking in my advertising, from here on out. Right that down, Mike Allen. Winking. It’s what people want.

What better way to celebrate the birth of Jesus than the giving of gifts?
We had Christmas a little early the other day, because the presents were all in the house and if we didn’t do it I was going to go insane.
Turns out that between Brooke, Ces and I we each got a soft, video game inspired gift.
We didn’t realize how nerdy it was until we put them all together: Brooke got a set of plush Pikmin, I was given a huge weighted companion cube, and Cesare now sleeps under a hand-crafted mega man blanket!

Yes, we are the biggest nerds in the universe, especially since we each came up with the gifts independent of each other, but when it’s the thought that counts it’s comforting that we’re aware of each other’s hyper-nerdiness to do something like this.
Our parents aren’t going to have any idea what we’re talking about, so we’re going to tell them we got gift certificates or something.
(in fact, most of our friends won’t either. Here are links as visual explanation:
Pikmin
Companion Cube
Mega Man)

Brooke was saying that we don’t post on here often enough, so here’s a web clipping from my MySpace comments area from Olivia, Brooke’s sister!
