Ces, Mike and Will all have iPhones now.
They are way, way better than they expected them to be.
Ces stood in line from 9 am til 6 pm to get his and Mike’s. Will played with theirs for five minutes, then went and bought one too.
Here are some background pictures that are adorable to use on the things:

Last night held another Plasmasplasm field trip, but, this time, it was a girls’ night out! The LA Film Festival is in full swing and there are lots of exciting things to see. But the one thing that I absolutely could not, would not miss was the Buffy musical sing-a-long!
Formally called “Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once More With Singing” (oh, you clever Buffy fans!), it was quite the extravaganza. It was a more than sold-out show, with a stand-by line stretching down the street (poor souls). The Majestic Crest was a great venue for the show. It’s a very classic, now-retro theater in the art deco style, complete with flashing neon marquee, gold paneling, and houses just one screen. The auditorium is completely surrounded by a mural of old timey LA, set off by black light, and the ceiling is lit by stars (all of which were left on during the show).

Oh, those neon lights!
Though not quite as far gone as those people we saw at the Star Wars Celebration, people were definitely excited for this. I could hear the woman behind me giving the “last time on Buffy” treatment to her (supportive) boyfriend. But this this is LA, right? Something is always going on; this couldn’t possibly be the most exciting thing going on? As far as we were concerned, it was the only thing going on.

Looking down Westwood Blvd., you can see the bright lights of the Transformers premiere. Apparently, there was a giant Optimus Prime in the street, or something.

Congratulations, Century City AMC movie theater! You are the inaugural winner of the official Beyond Therapy Dog Raping Shit Eater award for non-excellence!

Here’s how you won:
Yes, you are a great theater. You have large, new accommodations that really make the 7:50 I spend on a showing feel different from watching it on my laptop or friend’s TV. Your parking is usually free and you constantly have showings for stuff I’m into.
All of this stuff you can be lauded for ends up highlighting the bad stuff, worst of all is the smell.
THE HALLWAYS LEADING TO THE DOWNSTAIRS THEATERS 1 AND 2 SMELL LIKE THE MOST DISGUSTING FOOT SWEAT EVER.

We’ve started a new program here at the Splasm: the Beyond Therapy Award!
Some may not know that the Splasm crew is also the Beyond Therapy Pictures crew! (check out our biggest and smallest flick here)
Well, now we have an award to give out to anyone who we think is worthy of it, and while we need to deliberate on who deserves the inaugural award, here’s a preview of the badge itself:

Here are some important pictures that I feel do not get enough attention.
Here is a picture of Cesare when he decided to grow his hair very long.

It is also important to note two other things in this important picture:
1. The wood panneling in my old apartment is really, really awesome, and will never be seen again now that my sister has painted it the ugliest color a wall can be: white.
2. Cesare is playing a Nintendo game with electronic bongos which he swears is a really fun and amazing game, but which I noticed he stopped playing.
Moving on . . .
Here is an important picture of my friend Bob from when he was still a virgin.

The important and subtle subtext of this photo is that Bob is standing in front of an advertisement for a movie titled “The Forty Year Old Virgin”.
Here is an important picture of me and Will looking super cool.

Another important aspect of this picture is that this is what having white walls looks like.
